About Charity: For more than 25 years, the Education Foundation of Martin County has been recognized for facilitating private investment in public education while creating, supporting and promoting world-class innovation and excellence in all of Martin County’s public schools. Signature programs include Literacy Initiatives; Elementary Book Bowl; Innovative Project Grants; Robotics; Artist Residencies; STEAM Initiative (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math); Re-Engineering Algebra; Professional Development; and Martin County Teacher of the Year. The foundation’s “Your Classroom Connection” campaign is aimed at connecting our community to local classrooms. About Charity: The Equine Rescue and Adoption Foundation, Inc. (ERAF) is a non-profit 501c3 organization devoted to the rescue, rehabilitation, re-education and adoption of abused, slaughter-bound, abandoned and neglected horses. Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. Volunteer activities include: working in the barn and pastures; grooming and feeding horses; landscaping; helping with special events and fundraising; and office work. Today, EWPBF’s membership includes leaders in arts and culture, business, construction, education, government, healthcare, law, publishing, real estate and many other business endeavors. The organization has awarded more than 200 scholarships to deserving young women and more than 40 significant grants to local non-profit programs.
