1000+ Club to Benefit Cancer, Inc.
The purpose of the 1000+ Club is to provide money, collected through fundraising events and dues, to selected non-profit cancer organizations in support of cancer research, cancer education, and cancer patient services in Broward County. While there are numerous events throughout the year, the signature event is the Woman of the Year Luncheon. Selected non-profits will celebrate their individual Woman of the Year. Chairs of the 2015 Women of the Year will be Lynne McGrath and Nathalie Sloane.
The mission of 2-1-1 Broward is to provide 24-hour comprehensive helpline and support services to individuals and families in our community seeking crisis intervention assistance and/or information and connections to health and human services in Broward County. Every call to 2-1-1 is answered by a trained, degreed counselor who listens to the caller’s concerns, identifies their needs and connects them with agencies and programs that can help them. 2-1-1 Broward relies on the generous support of government agencies, corporations, foundations, and individuals to provide this vital community service.
211 is a community helpline and crisis hotline where highly trained and accredited Resource Specialists offer guidance and support in helping teens, adults, families, seniors, caregivers and professionals find the services they need. Calls to 211 HelpLine are free, confidential and available 24/7. “Our name is our number!” 211 is the easy to remember 3-digit phone number that provides service for everyday needs and in times of crisis. 211 HelpLine is a 501(c)(3) non-profit providing crisis intervention, information, assessment and referral to community services in Indian River, Okeechobee, Martin, Palm Beach and St. Lucie Counties.
4KIDS of South Florida
4KIDS has served and cared for more than 20,000 abused and neglected children in Broward and Palm Beach Counties “one child at a time.” 4KIDS has recently expanded to license foster families in Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, and Okeechobee Counties. 4KIDS is committed to accomplishing the vision of “A Home for Every Child” through programs offering protection, prevention, provision and permanent solutions. A continuing accomplishment is the operation of SafePlace 4KIDS, the emergency assessment center for children removed from their homes in Broward or Palm Beach County as they begin their foster care journey.
A.E. Backus Museum & Gallery

The Museum’s mission is to promote the arts in the community and perpetuate the artistic and humanitarian legacy of A.E. Backus, and houses the nation’s largest exhibit of original Backus paintings. Grounded in history, yet rich in contemporary relevance the museum exhibits original paintings by A.E. Backus, Florida Highwaymen. Throughout the season the Museum features changing national exhibits and two juried competitions. Volunteers needed for educational programs, special events, visitor services/docents/ facility maintenance.
Achievement Center for Children & Families

The Achievement Centers for Children & Families is a community based, social service organization whose mission is to ensure school readiness, provide skill building opportunities, promote academic achievement and support healthy lifestyles. The affordable, nationally accredited programs allow families to work, increasing their economic stability. The Centers serve over 1,000 children and 750 adults at three campuses in Palm Beach County.
Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center
The Levis JCC provides a range of programs and services for individuals of all ages to meet the diverse needs of its members, the Jewish community and the community at large. The Levis JCC promotes and enhances Jewish culture, heritage and values through educational, spiritual, social, wellness and recreational programs. The Levis JCC is a non-profit community agency of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County.

Adopt-A-Family is dedicated to strengthening families with children in their efforts to achieve stability and self-sufficiency by providing access to all-encompassing services. To achieve this mission, Adopt-A-Family provides physical housing units, rental assistance, and supportive services to families in crisis.
