The Ladies Luncheon “Let’s Flamingle” brought nearly 300 brightly dressed guests to St. Paul of the Cross Church in North Palm Beach for a benefit for All Saints Catholic School in Jupiter. The day included cocktails, shopping, a silent auction and raffle prizes. Two dozen vendors were on-hand, offering goods from beach décor to belt buckles.
Thousands of locals joined Dr. Mehmet Oz at The Gardens Mall, where he shared his best-kept secrets to living the good life. Dr. Oz moderated a leading panel of health professionals, and special guest Amy Robach of “Good Morning America” spoke about her own breast cancer journey. Guests enjoyed interactive cooking demos, a free money booth and more.
Executive Women of the Palm Beaches hosted its annual Women in Leadership Awards at the Cohen Pavilion at the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts where Capt. Mark Kelly was chosen as the keynote speaker, the first man in 33 years to be showcased. The event recognizes women who display generosity; commitment to integrity and diversity; and genuine connectedness with others in the community.
The Palm Beach Area chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society raised more than $1.2 million during its 25th anniversary of the Man & Woman of the Year fundraising campaign. The celebration took place at the Hilton in West Palm Beach. Alexander Basse and Jessica Johnson took home the coveted titles.
As part of the purchase of Loggerhead Marinas by Dallas-based Suntex Marinas, Suntex has committed to maintaining a philanthropic partnership with Loggerhead Marinelife Center. During an evening presentation, Suntex presented the Center with a check for $400,000 and pledged ongoing support.
