Animals are experts in following their instincts. So why not trust their judgment?

Seeing yachts, boats and nautical accessories worth more than $1.2 billion would make anyone excited, and it looks like these little guys don’t mind showing us how they really feel about the Palm Beach International Boat Show.

With one of the top five boat shows in the U.S. returning for its 31st year, the event is bound to offer a whale of a time. (Forgive us for that pun, but know it won't be our last.)

Here are 10 reasons why we love the Palm Beach International Boat Show, as depicted by our furry (and not-so-furry) friends.

1. Boats, boats, and more boats

Boats

We all love boats. From eight-foot inflatables and personal watercrafts to fishing boats and superyachts over 150 feet, the Palm Beach International Boat Show never seems to disappoint. It has even expanded to include a new pier at the northern end of the show. The new in-water space will add an additional 30 slips for yachts up to 280 feet, perfect for boating enthusiasts looking to live the pug life.

2. Marine accessories

Marine accessories

Featuring fishing paraphernalia, boating equipment, safety gear and more, the Palm Beach International Boat Show offers something for everyone. For humans and animals alike, a life jacket can go a long way on the water. It might even give you a new leash, er, lease on life.

3. Cars

The vehicular elite also make an appearance at the boat show. Lamborghinis, Bentleys, Lincolns and more seem to draw the crowds away from the docks for a look at the finest means of land transportation. (Matthew McConaughey is probably reciting bizarre soliloquies to smooth jazz right about now.)

4. Water toys galore!

Kayaks, paddleboards, inflatables and more are among the hundreds of items on display at the show. In other words, there are plenty of water toys fit for your favorite shore.

5. Floating cocktail barges

6. AquaZone

AquaZone

It’s back! Presented by Nautical Ventures Marine Superstore, AquaZone and its 40,000-gallon inflatable pool offer professional demonstrations of paddleboards, kayaks, rafts, a two-person hovercraft, water-jetpacks and the Jetblade, a board capable of propelling its user up to 30 feet in the air using water propulsion.

7. Kids’ Fishing Clinics

Fishing Clinics

Because all offspring have to learn to fish at some point. And at the boat show, the lessons are free.

8. Noms

Noms

Take time to experience the delicious offerings on Clematis Street, the historical heart of downtown West Palm Beach. With local favorites including Bar Louie, Duffy's Sports Bar & Grill, Grease Burger Bar, Pistache Restaurant, Rocco's Tacos & Tequila Bar and Tin Fish Clematis, taking a break from the docks has never been so tasty.

9. Celeb-spotting

Celeb-spotting

Celebrities confirmed to be all about that #BoatLife include Vanilla Ice, Billy Joel and Donald Trump. You never know who may be at the boat show, so get your selfie stick primed and ready.

10. At the end of the day, boats are just plain fun

boats

No matter who or what you are, everyone enjoys a good ol’ boat. From the humans who take out their boats for a day of fishing to the dolphins that love swimming in the wake, the intrigue of boating seems to captivate us all. As Jimmy Buffett once said, “Shells sink, dreams float. Life's good on our boat.”
