Benny’s on the Beach Is Debuting A New Menu—And It Kicks Off On Labor Day
A laid back coastal ambiance is not all that Benny’s on the Beach is treating guests to this Labor Day weekend. On Monday, the restaurant will be extending its hours to 9 p.m. and debuting its new dinner menu.
The move for the upgraded menu, created by executive chef and restaurant co-owner Jeremy "Fresh Chef" Hanlon, comes as the eatery's latest owners continue to work to solidify the restaurant's identity.
Mercedes Castro, director of public relations for Benny's on the Beach in Lake Worth, said the extensive choices and natural ingredients set the new menu apart.
“Chef Jeremy focuses on using the freshest, high-quality ingredients in everything he makes. I think that can be seen in this new menu, especially with all the featured housemade sauces,” Castro said. “There’s also a lot of options, including gluten-free and vegetarian options…so this menu should please everyone.”
Appetizers range from waffle fry nachos—topped with cheese, avocado, onions, tomatoes, salsa verde and Sriracha cream—to a seafood skillet of scallops or octopus seared to perfection. Dishes include fish favorites from a mahi-mahi sandwich on challah bread with mango tartar sauce to the Captain’s Platter, which serves a fried feast of fish filet, shrimp, conch fritters and clam strips.
There’s an array of Hanlon's signature dishes to choose from on the new-and-improved list of entrees, including lobster mac and cheese, lobster dip and citrus ginger tuna steak, as well as weekly specials: paella celebrations on Saturdays and Sundays and seafood bake on Thursdays and Fridays. Aside from seafood, other options like burgers, salads and taco entrees are available.
In addition to the fresh new menu, Labor Day festivities at Benny’s will include a concert by Nashville artist Raquel Renner and The Ramblers on the Lake Worth Pier from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Guests can also enjoy a grill on the pier and a Bacardi-sponsored bar.
