In case you haven't noticed, downtown West Palm Beach has turned into an outdoor museum.

From now until Nov. 22, public murals are taking over the walls of select buildings across the downtown Arts & Entertainment District. They're all part of Canvas, a two-week-long outdoor museum show in West Palm Beach ahead of Art Basel.

The murals will be lit nightly from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. through Sunday. In addition, renowned artists have created interactive installations, from sculptures to other 3D works, that can be seen at VIP events. A map of exhibit locations featuring the works of all 20 artists can be seen here.

Canvas founder Nicole Henry, a West Palm Beach-based gallerist, said the city has not yet reached its potential as an arts and culture hub, but she hopes the two-week event brings West Palm Beach one step closer.

"The idea behind Canvas is to captivate the imagination and ignite both ideas and inspiration by bringing public art to the forefront of our collective consciousness here in West Palm Beach," she said in a press release.

On Nov. 21 and Nov. 22, the public can attend a Canvas Street Party featuring live music, vendors, food and craft cocktails at 501 Fern Street from noon to 6 p.m. on both days. The other events—from a New York City-style fashion show to a yacht party at Palm Harbor Marina—are ticketed, and the schedule can be seen below.
