Doris Italian Market to Open Sixth Location in North Palm Beach
North Palm Beach residents will have a new option for specialty groceries this fall, and it’s going to be huge – literally.
Doris Italian Market and Bakery began construction on its new 22,000-square-foot location on May 5 with a groundbreaking ceremony. This is the Market’s sixth location in South Florida and the second location in Palm Beach County.
The new Market will serve the community not just by providing fresh and tasty food, but also by creating an estimated 100 jobs for the area.
“We place great value on having companies like Doris’ establish business in our local community,” says North Palm Beach Mayor Robert Gebbia, who attended the groundbreaking ceremony alongside Palm Beach County Commissioner Hal R. Valeche, Italian Market President and CEO John Alfano and North Palm Beach council members.
The Market will also include an outdoor café and two courts where visitors can play bocce ball, a game native to Italy that is similar to bowling.
The company also hopes to host fundraising galas at the new location later this year.
“We know they will be a great asset to the Village as they continue to develop. We are certain Doris’ will help us continue to grow economically as visitors to the area increase and more jobs are created,” Gebbia says.
The location for the new store will be at:
