Here’s What To Expect At Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s 10th Annual Go Blue Awards Luncheon

It’s time to get ready for the most prestigious ocean conservation awards ceremony in Florida—the 10th annual Go Blue Awards Luncheon.

The event, hosted by Loggerhead Marinelife Center, will feature conservationist Jeff Corwin as the keynote speaker. The awards ceremony recognizes and awards four individuals and one business or nonprofit that have promoted, implemented or contributed to a “blue” lifestyle of marine conservation.

The Go Blue Awards Luncheon will be held on Oct. 26, at the Cohen Pavilion at the Kravis Center.

Jeff Corwin is the keynote speaker. He is an Emmy Award-winning TV show host on “Ocean Mysteries," a conservationist and a biologist.

Awards being given include the Eleanor Fletcher Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing a person who exemplifies a lifelong commitment to marine conservation; the Blue Ambassador of the Year Award, for a  person who has made significant contribution through volunteer-related activities; the Blue Friend of the Year Award, for a person who has made contributions in ocean conservation through work-related activities; the Blue Hatchling Youth Award, which recognizes a student; and the Blue Business of the Year Award, which recognizes a business that promotes conservation through its practices, products or technology.

Finalists for the awards will be announced at the Blue Friends Society Cocktail Social on Sept. 20, being held at the Hilton West Palm Beach at 5:30 p.m.
