Here’s What You Need To Know About This Year’s SunFest Music Festival Being Held In West Palm Beach

South Florida’s largest music, art and waterfront festival is just over a month away. While you’re counting the days and hours until you see your favorite performers, make sure you’re up-to-date with the latest on this year’s SunFest.

The 2018 festival will be held from May 3 to 6, along the Intracoastal Waterway in downtown West Palm Beach with three stages and 50 acts.

Performers include Pitbull, Zedd, Logic, Rae Sremmurd and Nick Jonas. Ice Cube recently announced on March 23 that he is joining the lineup, and KC and the Sunshine Band are no longer performing because of a scheduling conflict.

Billy Idol, PartyNextDoor, Grouplove and DNCE will also take the stage at the 35th annual event.

The festival grounds will be located on Flagler Drive in downtown West Palm Beach. Banyan Boulevard to Lakeview Drive lie at the north and south boundaries, respectively. For an approximate GPS fix on the grounds, reference 100 Clematis St., West Palm Beach.

On March 28, five bands will be competing for the final spot on the SunFest lineup at CityPlace Plaza at the third annual Battle of the Bands.

Enjoy specialty cocktails while getting a taste of the festival as the up-and-coming bands battle it out. The participating bands are AfterMidNite, Big Sounds Better, Rogue Theory Band, The Rough Drafts and Static Momentum.

Another upcoming event correlated with SunFest is the TGi5K, being held on May 4. Runners will compete along the West Palm Beach waterfront, with the 5K ending in the heart of the festival.

Get access to the biggest post-race party with hot dogs and beer. Extra bonus: admission to SunFest is included with race registration.

Between sets, wander the Art District to shop and participate in a one-of-a-kind art experience with interactive installations and goods from more than 80 artists, crafters and vendors. Watch live artist demonstrations or become a part of the art with henna tattoos and body marbling.

If you need a place to take a breather, the ChillZone allows you to take a load off or challenge your friends to a game of cornhole. Grab a drink from one of the three floating bars, which are tied up to the seawall and offer specially created drinks.

The festival ends with a bang on May 6 at 9 p.m. with a fireworks show. Check out the full lineup, buy tickets and more at sunfest.com
