International Polo Club Opening Day Was Filled With Champagne, Bright Prints, Exciting Match
Polo season is officially in session—and it kicked off with quite the bash.
More than 6,000 polo enthusiasts attended the opening day celebration at the International Polo Club in Wellington on Jan. 3.
During the featured event, the Herbie Pennell Cup final, Gillian Johnston’s Coca-Cola team clinched the match with a 15-14 win against Villa del Lago.
Dressed in bright, colorful patterns, attendees—which included some of our “Men of Style”—were able to enjoy the new Coco Polo Lounge, as well as the new Funky Buddha beer garden.
Of course, there was a Sunday champagne brunch, which featured a new NYY prime steak carving station, gourmet selections and plenty of bubbly.
The season will wrap up with the USPA 112th U.S. Open Polo Championship on April 24.
