Italian-inspired Palm Beach Gardens mansion hits the market
A $30 million lakefront mansion, dubbed as the “Palazzo Grande” in Palm Beach Gardens, is now on the market.
The estate at 5435 Sea Biscuit Road has six bedrooms, six bathrooms and two half bathrooms. While the exterior may suggest Italy, the interior hints at France. But what makes this mansion so special are the 40 chandeliers included in the price.
Four of the chandeliers are gold-leaf Russian while 30 are Czechoslovakian crystal. Custom details like hand-carved wood ceilings and doors, Herbeau plumbing fixtures and even the limestone walls evoke a 16th century Italian Renaissance villa.
There also is a spacious ballroom big enough to entertain 75 guests and a dining room as a replica of Venice’s Galleria Academia, featuring a ceiling adorned with 80 hand-carved cherubs.
The property was built in 2005 and includes a Parthenon-style pool house with a custom spa and a 1,120-square-foot pool with blue Polaris marble and four carved stone lion fountains, in addition to a clay tennis court, a library and a separate guesthouse.
