Komen South Florida Seeks Nominations For 2019 Warriors In Pink
Do you know a brave survivor of breast cancer? Are you a survivor yourself? Nominations are now open for Susan G. Komen South Florida’s Warriors in Pink and it is time to give recognition to the courageous survivors in your life.
Each year, Susan G. Komen chooses eight Warriors in Pink—all breast cancer survivors—to recognize their powerful and courageous fights against cancer. The number eight represents the statistic that one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.
To enter, tell a story in writing or on video about the survivor you’re nominating and why you’re choosing them to be considered. The Warriors will be recognized at the 2019 Race for the Cure, being held on Jan. 26, in downtown West Palm Beach.
Selected Warriors for the 2019 Race for the Cure will lead hundreds of survivors walking to the stage for the Survivors’ Recognition Ceremony. Komen will also look to the Warriors to serve as ambassadors for the organization and to build teams for the Race.
