At This Lilly Pulitzer Event, Customers Watched Artists Hand-Paint White Skinny Jeans With Colorful, Palm Beach-Inspired Prints
Forty-two customers can now say they own custom, hand-painted denim from Palm Beach-inspired brand Lilly Pulitzer.
On Dec. 17, shoppers at the Palm Beach Gardens store got the chance to see Lilly artists carefully designing bright prints on white skinny jeans.
The pieces retailed for $348, and guests could choose from three designs: bright pink and orange flowers, the story of how Pulitzer got her start, or a Palm Beach-inspired toile complete with colorful sunrises, palm trees and scenes from Worth Avenue.
The jeans, which were available on a first-come, first-served basis, take about four weeks to complete.
The event marked the first time Lilly artists did live-painting demonstrations on products for customers, but guests attending Thursday’s annual Beach Bash fundraiser will also have the opportunity to see an artist work on an oversized canvas. Benefiting Loggerhead Marinelife Center, this year's big social event will see more than 700 guests at The Beach Club in Palm Beach.
