Mazie’s Restaurant And Oceano Kitchen Collaborate For Upcoming Dinner Event

The owners of the highly anticipated restaurant Mazie’s, set to open in January, will participate in a collaborative dinner at Oceano Kitchen on Sept. 10 at 5:30 p.m.
Chef Eric Baker (formely of Max’s Harvest) and Jason Lakow (previously general manager of Café Boulud) will be collaborating with chef Jeremy Bearman and pastry chef Cindy Bearman of Oceano Kitchen.
The dinner menu for the event will include chop salad, garlic bread, wild mushroom lasagna, lobster thermidor, lamb meatloaf and Concord grape cream pie.
Mazie’s is currently under construction and will feature American cuisine rooted in old world heritage. The restaurant will be located at 3815 S. Dixie Highway at the former location of Gulfstream Bistro.
The restaurant will feature a tropical garden patio, a nine-seat bar and 65 seats, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. It is named after Chef Eric’s grandmother Mazie, whose parents immigrated to Brooklyn from Europe in the 1890s.
Prices for the collaborative dinner at Oceano Kitchen start at $78, and an optional wine pairing is available for $25. The dinner is cash only. To make a reservation visit oceanokitchen.com.
