Opera At The Waterfront Invites Guests To Picnic And Enjoy Music From Over 100 Artists
Get those lawn chairs ready for an afternoon of music al fresco.
The Palm Beach Opera will be taking to the Meyer Amphitheater in West Palm Beach on Saturday, Dec. 12, for Opera at the Waterfront. The free event starts at 2 p.m. and will feature 100 musicians, including international opera star Michael Chioldi, guest artist Bridgette Gan, and Palm Beach Opera’s Benenson Young Artists, orchestra and choir.
Attendees are welcome to bring food to enjoy a picnic on the lawn.
This year, the Palm Beach Opera will be hosting a food drive at the event. Simply choose from a list of items—including rice, pasta, soups, beans and juices—and bring the goods with you to the event. The food will benefit United Way of Palm Beach County and Palm Beach County Food Bank.
Next week, the Palm Beach Opera will be at City Cellar Wine Bar & Grill for a pop-up performance. Members of the Benenson Young Artists program—a group for emerging professional opera singers—will perform for diners as they enjoy their meals. There’s no extra charge for the Dec. 16 event, but reservations are recommended.
