Palm Beach Was Just Voted Among Best Destinations For Shopaholics, And It Even Ranked Higher Than New York
If you’ve ever thought Palm Beach was a mecca for all things fashion, well, you weren’t wrong.
Palm Beach was voted the second best city in the country for shopaholics in a new 10 Best readers’ choice survey published by USA Today on Friday.
Beat out only by Santa Fe, New Mexico, the South Florida town was praised not only for its vast selection of clothing retailers (shout-out to Lilly Pulitzer), but also for the variety of home goods dealers selling rare items that appeal to many collectors.
“In fact, every imaginable luxury good is on display in this retreat for the East Coast elite,” the description reads.
Not only was Palm Beach the sole Florida city on the list, it edged out one high-fashion destination that’s practically synonymous with good shopping: New York.
For the survey, a panel of five experts selected 20 cities to put on the ballot. The top 10 were determined by popular vote.
Take a look at how the finalists ranked:
1. Santa Fe, New Mexico
2. Palm Beach, Florida
3. Carmel, California
4. Malibu, California
5. Nashville, Tennessee
6. New York
9. Scottsdale, Arizona
