These Palm Beach County Starbucks Stores Will Now Be Serving Beer, Wine As Part Of New Evenings Menu
Nights at Starbucks are about to get way more interesting.
On Monday, the coffee chain told USA Today it would be expanding its Evenings program, which features a menu with beer, wine and small plates such as truffle mac & cheese, bacon-wrapped dates, and flatbreads. According to the Starbucks store locator, three Palm Beach County locations will be serving up the dishes:
- Clematis St. - 226 Clematis St. in West Palm Beach (Starting Aug. 18 at 2 p.m.)
- Garden Square Shops - 10925 N. Military Trail in Palm Beach (Starting Aug. 18 at 4 p.m.)
- Fishermans Wharf - 287 E Indiantown Road, B-10 in Jupiter (Starting Sept. 23 at 4 p.m.)
First rolled out in Seattle in 2010, the Evenings program was developed to fill the need for a casual meeting environment after the workday. After doing some research, Starbucks says it found that its customers were more likely to drink beer and wine than the general U.S. population.
But don’t think you’ll find the same items on Evenings menus across the country. The wine and beer selection varies per region, with stores even featuring brews from area breweries.
“For instance, in the Pacific Northwest, customers will find Malbec, Alamos, Argentina and craft beer from Maritime Brewery, Old Seattle Lager,” Starbucks said in a news release. “Those in Chicago are offered Malbec, Terrazas, Argentina and craft beer from Goose Island, Chicago, Goose IPA. This results in a combination of local and regional favorites that rotate over time.”
The news comes on the same day that Starbucks announced its insanely popular Pumpkin Spice Latte will now be made with real pumpkin.
