Royal Palm Beach just got a stamp of approval.

Finance website NerdWallet ranked Royal Palm Beach as the 10th best city in the state for young families to live. The city ranked ahead of other West Palm Beach suburbs such as Wellington (21), Palm Beach Gardens (80), Riviera Beach (114) and North Palm Beach (141).

NerdWallet created the ranking based off four factors: home affordability, growth and prosperity, family friendliness, and educational quality. The data for these factors was taken from the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2013 American Community Survey.

In Royal Palm Beach, 26 percent of households have children, and families enjoy affordable housing, with media home values at $189,300. As the study notes, the average score for Royal Palm Beach schools is an eight out of 10, according to GreatSchools.
