Support Families In Need During The Holiday Season Through Adopt-A-Family Of The Palm Beaches

Adopt-A-Family of the Palm Beaches is asking individuals, families and businesses to make a commitment to support a local family during the upcoming holiday season.

The organization, known for helping families in crisis regain their self-sufficiency, has opened its annual call for gifts, inviting donors to participate in the Holiday Adopter program.

Through Dec. 6, donors can provide a cash donation or gift cards (Visa/Amex, Target or Walmart preferred) for parents to be able to purchase gifts for their children, or donors can give items from the family’s holiday wish list.

The recommended donation amount is $75-$100 per person in each family. The Holiday Adopter program seeks donors who would like to adopt an entire family.

The organization collects gifts at its Lake Worth location for delivery to families, and also provides the option to connect donors with case workers to assist with personal gift deliveries.

In 2016, 140 Palm Beach County families were adopted. To become a holiday adopter, contact Maria Evangelista at mevangelista@aafpbc.org or call 561.253.1361. To learn more about the organization, visit adoptafamilypbc.org
