West Palm Beach's Weekend Temperature Breaks Record

This past Saturday, the record-high temperature for April 18 was broken with a high of 93 degrees Fahrenheit at Palm Beach International airport.

According to the National Weather Service, the record high temperature was reached at 2:26 p.m., breaking the previous record set in 1993.

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport had a bit of a heat wave as well with a temperature tying 2006’s current record.

The mercury reached its highest point of 90 degrees at 2:06 p.m. in Fort Lauderdale.

As summer in South Florida approaches, temperatures are predicted to continue rising.
