This Workshop With 'Cutthroat Kitchen' Winner Chef Clay Carnes Will Make Hosting Your Own Dinner Party Easier Than Ever
Wow guests at your next dinner party with a little help from chef Clay Carnes.
After the success of his culinary workshop at Shoppe 561 in West Palm Beach, the “Cutthroat Kitchen” winner has decided to begin a series featuring both professional demonstrations and hands-on cooking lessons for attendees.
With a focus on fun dishes like fish tacos, Asian-inspired lettuce wraps and tropical cocktails, Carnes hopes to teach patrons the basics of cooking for company.
“We’re presenting this as a summer entertainment series, so it will be more focused in a seasonal direction, like what people are doing at home this time of year and tips to help them in their basic day-to-day, weekend-to-weekend entertainment this summer,” he said.
An upcoming avocado-focused class on June 23 is already sold out, but there's still time to register for sessions on June 30 and July 14. The workshops—which cost $40—will all be held at Shoppe 561, a studio that allows local artists to showcase their work.
Those who attend will receive a $10 gift card for Carnes’ new restaurant, Cholo Soy Cocina. The West Palm Beach eatery, which focuses on Andean-style food, will be opening at the end of July, according to Carnes.

This Mexican-inspired cooking class is great for seafood-loving hosts. In this interactive workshop, attendees will learn about ceviche, how to buy and handle seafood, and how to mix a classic margarita. Attendees will also receive a fresh drink—with or without alcohol—and a $10 Cholo Soy Cocina gift card.
