Publisher's Letter: A decade of distinction

The New Year will mark my 10th anniversary with Gulfstream Media Group as publisher of Jupiter Magazine and The Palm Beacher, a position I dearly love and am very passionate about. As a native Floridian and resident of the Palm Beaches for more than two decades, there’s no place I’d rather reside and no place I’d rather report on than this little slice of paradise. Ten times a year, we bring you relevant, informative articles on local happenings and important issues, inspiring pictorials on local influencers, fashion, landscapes and homes, and we also advise you on where to dine, shop and travel. We know our readers pay attention and rely on us for quality content, so we take this task very seriously.

I hear from readers every month, espousing our valuable content and praising us for work well done. “Your magazines are classy and entertaining,” one reader said. Another stated, “I’ve had the joy of reading your magazine for the past decade. I applaud you for delivering a reputable local publication complete with insightful articles, informative reviews and magnificent photo shoots of beautifully designed homes.” Here’s a compliment that’s always nice to hear: “I look forward to reading your magazine each month; it is so informative and well done. By the way, it is the only subscription I take; others can’t compare.” It’s rewarding, to say the least, and in this age of instant gratification, it’s nice to hear feedback right after your work is complete. However, all of this wouldn’t be possible without our outstanding team of print and web editors, designers, production managers, account managers and the entire staff at Gulfstream Media Group, who will help celebrate my 10th season at the top of our game.

I’ve seen the Palm Beaches evolve and grow over the past 20 years, and they are at it yet again. As we look to the future, we are excited to present some of the makeovers taking place, from Palm Beach Gardens to the island of Palm Beach, including iconic cultural centers, shopping destinations, well-known attractions and our luxury resorts. The Kravis Center’s expansion project is aptly titled “Kravis 2020: The Future is Now.” Check out “A Palm Beach Revival” on page 70 for the lowdown on downtown development and how your future experiences are about to be elevated.

If travel is in your future, we provide some fashion inspiration with “Nautical Nuances” on page 52, where tropical resortwear and crisp whites take center stage. To assist with your New Year travel ambitions, we compiled a list of on-trend destinations for every season in “Four Seasons of Travel” on page 38. We combined tried and true alongside up-and-coming destinations to entice you to traverse the world. Whether you want to enjoy winter in the Caribbean, see South America in the spring, spend summer in Europe, or adventure through Africa in autumn, we’ve sourced the best cruises (think Silversea’s newly renovated Silver Cloud and Avalon Waterways River Cruises), most luxurious resorts (five stars, recently renovated), spas and divine destinations for every season.
